Northstar Christian Academy
Northstar Christian Academy opened in 2016, with the vision of being a release time school that offered Christian worldview classes to our Alexandria High School-aged students. In 2018, Northstar transitioned to a full-time Academy with an emphasis on academics, hockey, and spiritual development. The inaugural Knights team featured 23 young men from 12 different States. The team was a founding member of the newly formed NAPHL Prep league and won both the regular and playoff championships that first year. The vision of the Knights program was berthed in a locker room in Boston Massachusetts when a Fellowship of Christian Athletes player asked the FCA Hockey Director if this Chowder Cup team could ever play a full season together. A few years later, that idea became a reality!

What We Believe
These are our core tenants and the basic beliefs of Northstar Christian Academy.
GOSPEL
The gospel is the central truth of the Bible, the foundation of our faith, and the fuel for the Christian life. The gospel is the good news that we were dead in our sin, God sent His Son Jesus to live a perfect life on our behalf, die a substitutionary death and to pay the penalty for our sin, and rise again from the grave to offer us a new life in His Spirit.
SIN AND SALVATION
We believe that sin has separated us from God but that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin, was physically resurrected, and now offers a restored relationship and eternal life. Salvation is wholly of God by grace on the basis of the redemption of Jesus Christ, the merit of His shed blood and not on the basis of human merit or works.
Romans 3:21-24, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10
GOD
We believe that there is one living and true God, perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each equally deserving worship and obedience.
DISCIPLESHIP
We believe that all disciples should continually grow as worshipers, knowing, loving, and obeying God above all else. To grow as servants, giving of themselves for the good of others, growing as witnesses, proclaiming Christ in word and deed.
Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 4:19, Matthew 28:18-20
SCRIPTURE
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. Its purpose is to teach us how to have a relationship with Him, worship Him, and bring Him glory.
Psalm 19:7-10, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, John 17:17
CHURCH
We believe the church is the body of Christ on earth. We believe all who place their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed into the family of God, united into one spiritual body where Christ is the head. Every believer should be identified with a local church for the purpose of encouragement, spiritual growth and accountability.
1 Corinthians 12: 12-13, Ephesians 1:22, Hebrews 10:24-25
