At NorthStar, faith is not just taught — it’s lived and shared. Through chapel services, guest speakers, and personal testimonies from players, parents, and staff, we see the Gospel at work in real and meaningful ways. These stories reflect the spiritual growth taking place in our program and the trust families place in NorthStar as we walk alongside their sons—on the ice, in the classroom, and in their faith journey.
Player Testimonies

Brady shares his testimony and how his faith has shaped his journey beyond the game.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Jack Bathe
Jack shares his powerful story of God’s healing in his life and how true freedom is found in Christ. So often, as Christians, we carry the weight of sin ourselves, forgetting that God never intended us to live that way. Jack’s story beautifully brings this reality to light.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
Isaac Thompson
In his third year at NorthStar, Isaac reflects on his journey of learning what grace truly means and growing in his understanding of God’s truth. Thank you, Isaac for sharing your story. “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” – John 8:32
Cam Solem
In the final episode of Beyond Hockey, Cam shares his story of faith and encountering the Holy Spirit. Together, Cam and Charlie reflect on the story of the rich young ruler and how it has challenged and shaped their walks with Christ. A powerful conversation about surrender, truth, and what it really means to follow Jesus.
“For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law”. – Romans 3:28
Parent Testimonies
“We were incredibly blessed to have had Northstar Christian Academy part of our family’s lives for four years. What we thought would grow our sons through hockey ended up growing our whole family in faith and love. Northstar is so much more than just a hockey program-it’s a life-changing experience and we saw that when we dropped our sons off as boys and picked them up nine months later as men. We are incredibly grateful to God for this program and the seeds that will continue to bear fruit for years to come!”
