The NorthStar Knights are proud to announce that 18U Prep Forward, Isaac Thompson, has signed with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL).
Thompson was a key leader for the Knights throughout the 2025–26 season, serving as team captain while consistently setting the standard both on and off the ice. Known for his work ethic, compete level, and leadership qualities, Thompson played an important role in the culture and success of the program this season.
A reliable two-way player, Thompson brought consistency and intensity every time he stepped on the ice. His ability to lead by example, combined with his commitment to development and team-first mentality, made him a respected presence within the locker room and throughout the organization.
The MJHL is one of Canada’s premier Junior A hockey leagues and has a long history of developing players for NCAA and professional opportunities. Signing with the Wayway Wolverines represents another important step in Thompson’s hockey journey and an opportunity to continue competing at a high level.
